Traffic Movement at Five Intersections on Jamal Abdul-Nasser Street – Sebha

چکیده
Jamal Abdul-Nasser is a major trunk road that divides Sebha city into two semi-equal parts. It connects almost all districts with different activities and services in the center of city. Alongside Street, exist various types activities: administrative, educational, commercial, public some other activities. Due to its importance, street carries out densest traffic movement within This paper tries study analyze at five intersections on Street: (1) Al-Nahdha; (2) Khaled Ibn-Al-Walid; (3) Al-Khotoot; (4) Al-Tijari Bank; (5) Al-Zeraie Bank. Selection pre-mentioned referred their importance as converging points important land uses. Data required for purposes include intersection characteristics, flow characteristics composition pattern. The results reveal significance taking care geometric regulatory aspects enable perform well regard smoothness flow.

Self-organizing traffic lights at multiple-street intersections
The elementary cellular automaton following rule 184 can mimic particles flowing in one direction at a constant speed. This automaton can therefore model highway traffic. In a recent paper, we have incorporated intersections regulated by traffic lights to this model using exclusively elementary cellular automata. In such a paper, however, we only explored a rectangular grid. We now extend our m...
متن کاملTessellating Urban Space based on Street Intersections and Barriers to Movement
This paper presents a novel method to partition urban space with respect to its mobility network rather than abstract administrative boundaries or simple grids. The main goal of our method is to support mobility infrastructure planning and optimization in an urban environment. To this end, our tessellation, which is based on constrained Voronoi tessellation, generates cells that are compact and...
متن کاملTraffic monitoring and accident detection at intersections
Among the most important research in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) is the development of systems that automatically monitor traffic flow at intersections. Rather than being based on global flow analysis as is currently done, these automatic monitoring systems should be based on local analysis of the behavior of each vehicle at the intersection. The systems should be able to identify ...
متن کاملAssessing Behavioral Patterns of Motorcyclists Based on Traffic Control Device at City Intersections by Classification Tree Algorithm
According to the forensic statistics, in Iran, 26 percent of those killed in traffic accidents are motorcyclists in recent years. Thus, it is necessary to investigate the causes of motorcycle accidents because of the high number of motorcyclist casualties. Motorcyclists' dangerous behaviors are among the causes of events that are discussed in this study. Traffic signs have the important role of...
متن کاملOne-Way Street Movement vs. Two-Way Street Movement
The Traffic Engineering Department of the City of Fort Wayne recently conducted a before-and-after study of traffic volume trends and speed-delays encountered on the east and west one-way street system now in operation as compared to two-way street movement. This study was confined to the central business district only, as the traffic survey and recommendations were basically confined within th...
